Pics of your Work Areas!

So your telling us you bought what is likely a stolen rack? I don't buy things off CL becuase the pirces are sometimes too good to be true so either a scam or stolen is my bet with many things thus I just don't do it

No i'm actually telling you I bought a rack off craigslist that a person did not want anymore. Did not know I needed full blown details but he has a recording studio setup in his house and the rack would not work any longer due to new equipment he was using. So when I went to his house and "saw" his studio I understood what he meant.

Only thing made that rack sound stolen besides to me a nice price was the urgency with which he was wanting to get rid of it. I am just saying my feeling on most the CL adds for computer or computer related items for too good a price are that they may be stolen. I don't care to personally run the risk of it.

I also don't honestly acuse most of our more veteran members of much sense typicaly they have been able to prove themselves so I make such remarks in a more joking manner. Sorry if you were offended by the implications on my earlier post.

Hi guys - being my first post and all, I thought I'd join in and show our setup.

My desk is a bit messy, but I run 2x 22" HP screens, 1650x1280 is great for RDP, Bomgar remote support, web design etc.

Our workshop is nearly finished... It has been running for about 3 years now - and has just undergone a revamp to try and make it more 'presentable' and open... less cloak and dagger!

Cheers - Mik (Fivenines UK Ltd)

dude i loooooove your set up that must be sweet to work in no clutter lol i like the lighting behind the monitor

Yep, unfortunately I don't have much time to do onsite stuff so I mostly do everything out of here. I do offer a pickup service after hours but mostly I prefer everyone to drop their stuff off. Plus as an added bonus it helps bring exposure to our village here that I am located in. Thanks for the compliment on my shop!

Added another workbench and some top shelving :D

It's a glorified office/repair shop at my main job :)

It's all the space I need.

Nice, I like what you did with the place. I see the posters for the hard drive recovery - I just signed up with them, they give you the brochures and stuff?

I have to put up some shelving myself, need to maximize my space - I have a storefront, but split it with my uncle who sells musical equipment. An odd combination with musical equipment and computers in one place, but help's big time with the rent.

Thanks! Yea, they'll supply you with all the marketing material free of charge. You'll get a decent size box from them about a week after you're in their system.

Nice shop! Looks like I will need some more room to compete with you :D

My Shop...

Here are pics of my shop... it's in a little strip mall, about 1,000sq. ft. It has one big 'tech' room in the back and a display area up front. The display area is stocked now, these pics were taken right after I finished installing the floors, cabinets, etc. last Christmas.

The desks (and counter, etc) were purchased from a Sharper Image store that was closing (killer deal). I then added pull-out drawers, a top shelf for monitors, and KVM switch(es) etc. We do more service than retail, right now, but I wanted an area up front for drop-offs, retail sales, and possible future classes. Oh...and I also attached a pic of our service vehicle... the little Geek Van.

You literally have my dream shop

Your place looks awesome!

I used to have an XB myself, that thing took you for a hell of a ride when an 18 wheeler passed you on the highway, used to grip for my life haha

I would love to see more shots of the place.
