Hi All

I've recently replaced my site using the same domain name (although some pages may have been differently named from the old site), the All In One SEO Pro plugin used and entries completed, as well as a sitemap submitted to Google and confirmed as being received.

When I search for computer repair local to the nearest town, my entry is first in the map listings at the top.

The problem is that my site is not listed elsewhere in the search and when I input the business name into Google directly, I get an entry that relates to the old site and pages.

Apart from what I've done already, am I missing something? How can I get Google to show the newest site?

Sorry i didnt follow that, could you be more specific perhaps throw in some screenshots?

Edit: If I search for Computer Services lutterworth I see:

CSH Computer Services
www.cshcomputerservices.com/
Computer Services for Home and Business Users in Leicestershire based near Hinckley andLutterworth - call 01455 209505.

im confused by what you mean old site vs new site when its the same domain

Hi

Thanks for the quick reply.

The new Wordpress website completely replaced the old one.

The attached screenshot shows what is displayed when the business name is entered directly into Google - these pages relate to the old site and you get the 404 page when using the links.

Clicking the "more results........." you get a list with a mixture of the new pages and the website previous pages.

When I use the phrase "computer repair lutterworth", it's the map entry and nothing else.

Im not sure what the proper thing is to do on those sub listings i'd imagine its to simply do 301 redirects but not sure. As for not showing up for computer repair lutterworth, why would you when your seo on the main page doesnt target computer repair?

Thanks for the input.

I've used the Wordpress Redirection plugin for the 301's and tweaked the main page SEO.

This seems to be all I can do for the moment.

Somethings to do to speed up the process.

Submit your sitemap into your google search console account.
Get the home page indexed by using the "Fetch as Google" link and select only that page to be crawled.

Regards,
