Anyone play around with gas powered RC cars? I'm thinking about buying a Nitro Rustler RTR with the 2.5 cc gas motor. I've never bought a gas powered car before and was wondering if anyone could give me some insite on what i'm getting myself into.

I have a nitro truck. Couldn't give you many details on it however because I don't use it. If I could pay someone to tune it and break it in for me, I'm certain I would mess around with it more. If I had to do it over, I wouldn't buy one.

I wouldn't buy it again because it's a pain in the butt to tune properly. It's always either way too rich or too lean. Rich isn't bad, but it runs like crap. Lean makes the engine get too hot and can damage it.

The end result is that it's sitting in my garage collecting dust. If I had someone available with experience to help me tune it, I'd probably change my mind.

PM me the laptop info. I'll get all the pertinent info on the car and send you pics in return when I get home.

I had a Traxxas TMax a year or so ago. IT was a monster and went hella fast. I would love to have that again.

We have a 1/8 semi-circular path in our community park behind our home, so I got an electric rc dune buggy for my um... daughter... a few years ago to race around it during the summer.

It a lot of fun!

haha this thread was brought back to life. I ended up buying a 1/8th truggy. This is a stock picture but this is what it looks like.

I think my next car is going to be an electric motor. The gas was a b***h to get going.
