On some of my smaller clients I have been using the free Comodo RMM, which after Jan 1 is no longer free.

TBH, I rarely used the RMM for much more than remote access and for free it was fine, but there is no mobile client so I am unwilling to pay them for that service. (nevermind the fact that "free forever" didnt mean free forever.)

Anyways what is a good affordable remote access tool that allows some sort of organization of the computers? (by company, department, etc.)

Thanks!

It depends what you mean by affordable, I guess. The best I’ve used is Connectwise Control, in terms of its sheer functionality and the cost very reasonable. For me, it just ticks every possible box. You get both always-on and once-off support, for example.

I'm a reseller for Zoho Products and use Zoho Assist quite a bit. You should check that out. It's not free but I think it does have the tools you are looking for.

I don’t know about current pricing as we are grandfathered in with a ScreenConnect, ConnectWise control on-premise installation. It costs us less than $300 a year for updates and a 3 concurrent session license. Unlimited users unlimited endpoints, it does on demand support by joining with a code and unattended access. We have also used the meetings portion of it a few times. Not bad for the price.

RemotePC.com is dirt cheap for 10 computers ($60 per year) and mostly gets the job done with minimal hassle.

Also .. necro wtf?

which plan are you looking at? I haven't been able to glean what they mean by "access 10 computers". Does that mean only the same 10 computers ever? or 10 concurrently or something else....

SOHO 10 users under the same email address. All workstations are also protected by a personal password to prevent people from logging into other peoples computers ... Don't think there is a limit on channels.

ok. so all targets are expected to be in the same organization? I think I'd be looking at the "Help Desk" solution which is $499 per year.

AnyDesk Lite is very good. I rather pay something then get it free and be limited. I pay about $80 USD a year and I've had it for 3+ years with no issues.
