Hello all, hope you are having a great day. I have some questions. One of my clients, an asphalt contractor, has an old XP machine that runs special equipment. They just moved to a new location and, as a result, they are asking for the following:
They want to connect TO a Windows 7 computer FROM the Windows XP machine using remote desktop. I must confess, I'm not experienced with remote desktop. The 2 machines are directly connected (no router.) I've searched Google and the results I got weren't very promising.
I've only talked to them about this over the phone, I haven't actually seen what they are trying to do. I told them I would look into it today and get back with them tomorrow morning.
Here are my questions:
Is this possible?
Is it necessary to have a router in order for this to work?
Is it possible that it can't be done because support for XP has eXPired?
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
