Sup People,
Been pulling my hair out trying to solve this one. How would you go about removing the document stamp (This is Not An Official Copy) from a pdf in this example below? I have Acrobat 10 and Nuance Paperport Pro and thought one of these programs would be able to do it. I'm I missing something here?

Get an official copy. Just because you have a couple of pieces of software doesn't mean you can (or are entitled to) edit someone else's document.
I think you have a misunderstanding of my post. I do have a original copy of the document but my place of work has a need to be able to do this.

Your place of work needs to remove the watermark? The same thing that Xander said to you applies to them. You say you have the original, by which you mean you have an un-watermarked copy? Or a hard copy with the watermark? Either way, this looks to be a legal contract and I would avoid modifying it unless it is a document your company created. (Of course if they did create it, why would you need to forge an un-watermarked version?)

If you'll notice, the text of the watermark lines up perfectly with the text of the scanned document. This means it's not a digital watermark; it was actually on the page that was scanned. Someone really doesn't want that document getting around all over the place. Since it's a scanned document, it's essentially a photograph. How do you edit a photo?

Hold your horses mate. This is a example of a document and not a real copy . No forge or anything fishy taking place here. I work for a law firm who can make changes to documents and does so everyday so let's not jump to accusations here. The 60 page document we have has a similar watermark which they need to remove. I've never had to do anything such task personally so hence me seeking help. Google was pretty vague with solutions. I've tried a few and nothing works.

Thanks for your imput sir. I didn't think of that at all. I'll throw it into photoshop and see what I can do.

Kwan, the reason people are questioning your legitimacy is because you have not explained your situation very well. It's unusual for someone not to have an original of their own document.

We often get people here trying it on, looking for info on how to do something underhanded. Couple that with the fact that you're a new user and, well, people will ask questions.

Totally understand and I'm fine with that. I was able to get it sorted without going the Photoshop route via a helpful pm. I might be more of a reader here than a poster but assuming that everyone that comes on here and ask these kind of questions are looking to commit some type of fraud is very narrow minded. I'm not saying that's what you're doing.
Appreciate the feedback.

Maybe OP didnt want to give the entire backstory, or know how to use google. Ironic isnt it. People here have no problem handing out advice on bypasing system passwords. But ask a q that is not routine and lately you get jumped on. Lighten up folks.

PDF -> google docs -> convert to word -> open in word. Watermark text appears as a seperate layer. Delete layer text. Save as PDF.

have a nice day.

Lawyers rip off other Lawyers all the time. There are even forms that they can buy for 90% of the contracts that need to exist in the world.

Common practice that in any other industry would be considered theft. Contracts aren't covered by copyright. He can copy as he wishes.

Thanks for all the input all. I'll take from this post that in the future, I need to be more specific with my description of a issue, but there was nothing fishy going on at all.
