Royal TS & Royal Server

What are the issues you faced when setting it up? Don't hesitate to contact us at http://support.royalapplications.com.

cheers,

Thanks Michi

Not sure if it is an issue yet or just my lack of understanding of the product(s). I haven't spent a lot of time on it yet though to be honest. I couldn't get Royal TS to communicate with a remote Royal Server installation, but I think I need to spend more time getting my head around how it works and what ports I need to forward, etc. I'll contact you if I get stuck, thanks :)

I'm impressed with Royal TS though, it looks like a great piece of software and something I'll definitely use. My only criticism so far is that some of the documentation seems a bit out of date and there seems to be little in the way of walk-throughs and quick-start guides.

I use Royal TS here, a life saver managing multiple RDP sessions.
That was what initially attracted me to it, in particular for managing RDS servers and multiple users/credentials. I also like the idea of being able to share access to a group of servers without sharing credentials. Royal Server looks good too; do you use that?

I haven't used server but I may look into that as well. Another thing I like about Royal TS is that I can open several servers at once by right-clicking and "Connect all in Folder". I've got nearly 50 server (mostly virtual) to look at after and it just saves so much agony.

I've poked at Royal TS in the past but at the time it was mostly just tabbed windows for RDP sessions and didn't really fit my needs (I rarely had many connections open and was frequently on a laptop so low resolution).

I'm going to have to look more closely, because Royal Server looks like it might actually overlap pretty far into RMM territory - remote scripting, process management, etc. but with pricing based on the number of management console users rather than the number of systems managed/monitored.

I've been using RoyalTS for years and it's been great.

I love the auto login and the ability to quickly choose to enter credentials for testing.

I have folders for all my clients and use it for web interfaces, telnet, etc. Helps keep things organized.

I keep the config file on Dropbox so everything in synced between my office PC and work laptop.

Highly recommend.
