[WARNING] Schrock Innovations Robo call

I don't think a business line can do that. It is legal to make sales calls to a business. Not the caller's fault if he forwards that to a cell or residential hard line. Of course, that still doesn't make the off hours call legal.

Hi, this company is from Omaha,Nebraska. They are computer repair store(company), they used to be #1 here, but right now they are desperate for the money.

Guys, I have to apologize for the calls last night. I own some computer repair shops in Nebraska and we made something that I thought other computer repair shops could benefit from. I'm not going to plug it here because that's not the point right now.

I used a service called CallFire to place the calls. The calls were set to go out between 7PM and 9PM in each local time zone. The objective was to not bother business owners with recorded calls during business hours but instead to leave a message on a voicemail. That way people could decide for themselves to respond or not. I am not some hard selling telemarketer guy with a sales funnel and a Sales Force account.

As you are already aware, something went terribly wrong on CallFire's end and the calls went out all night long. In fact, some numbers were called multiple times throughout the night. This morning I was greeted with negative reviews, comments, and eventually threads like this one.

I have an open ticket with CallFire right now and a saved Chat log from this afternoon. They don't know what went wrong and they have an engineer on their dev team looking into it.

While that's all great information that no one really wants to know, it doesn't change the fact that I am responsible for those calls. I sincerely apologize for the massive inconvenience they caused.

Feel free to PM me if you want any additional details about the situation. This is certainly not the result we were after and instead of helping shops make more money while keeping their customers' computers more secure, we gave a ton of people a groggy Friday. I am very sorry.
