It is a custom build, maybe about a year old, I've worked on it in the past, so I know it was okay from new. The issue is that with any wired or wireless keyboard, there is an intermittent lag between typing and the characters appearing on the screen.
It is happening with the clients keyboard as well as a couple NIB keyboard I have. It will occur maybe every five sentences or so. Sometimes it will actually miss a letter and you have to go back and correct it.
I've run every malware scan on this pc that we all typically use, cleaned up all temp files, made sure the cpu process footprint is low. There was nothing out of the ordinary installed on here either, like toolbars, coupon printers or random junk that we all see.
I did run HD tests, but I have not yet run a live cd to see if it is happening outside of the OS, that will be my next step.
It is coming up squeaky clean. I'm not sure where else to look. It just acts like an old Win 98/XP system that is being taxed memory-wise, and can't keep up.
