Aloha everyone,

I have a customer that has asked me to source a couple of replacement laptop batteries, so I'm looking for a supplier. I value quality over price. Looking on Amazon or eBay you have a LOT of different sources for laptop batteries and a wide range of prices.

I did some searching on these forums and found a couple of recommendations for companies located in the UK. I'm in Hawaii, so I highly doubt they will offer free shipping. So, I'm hoping someone here can recommend a supplier that they have had good experience with that also offers free shipping (e.g.: Amazon prime).

These for two ASUS laptops.

Mahalo,

Harry Z.

Some of these scammers on e-Bay will even state in the ad it's an 'original OEM' battery, and have a picture of some chinese crap they are selling.

When sending a question about the discrepancy calling them out, you never hear back from them. Chinese crap and steer clear.

We no longer buy batteries or chargers from ebay. We shoot for OEM or we buy from amazon or batteries plus. Batteries plus sells Duracell laptop batteries, a little pricey but high quality.

Mahalo for this information. Surprisingly, there is a franchise location for this company here on Oahu and they say they have the battery I need, even though it's not listed on their website. I'll have to take a drive over there and take a look at what they have.

Those batteries plus batteries look good, but man oh man are
they expensive.

A battery for my T420/T520 is $75 (plus shipping probably).

That's just too much for me. Most genuine, replacement, OEM
batteries are not that expensive. I know the cells are most likely
of the highest quality, but I don't know it's worth that cost.

To be honest that's not that high of a price from what I have seen. I just checked Lenovo for your model and that is around 1/2 their price.

For ThinkPads of the T430 generation and newer, you MUST get Lenovo batteries - they added checking, because apparently that's where they started working on rapid charge capabilities and they didn't want to worry about 3rd party batteries bursting into flame - or at least that's the reason that was given on the Lenovo forums by one of their people.

Don't buy from eBay. I order from Amazon and try to get lisone when possible. I had one defective battery 6 months later. I email them and I have the replacement delivered the next day and they didn't want the old one back. Good batteries and great service. They are out of LA and I am 45 minutes away so quick warranty.

I'd like to see if I can find OEM batteries, but I can't locate anything on the ASUS website (the battery involved is an ASUS A32-K53). Anyone have a pointer to someplace where I can find OEM ASUS batteries?
