There's nothing as restful . . .

Kinda takes away the old "morning wood" eh?

I had a major renno done in one of my prior chapters in life, moved out for that one.

On a tangent....septic system replacements....those ain't fun either! Old system all dug up, to be replaced by a bigger galley system. But yeah, the aromatics....you and your neighbors just love it!

Up in the Cape this morning...my morning view...

I had trucks reverse beeping for a month, sent me insane. They are devolping a housing estate close by, we in our area protested against the development to council then VCAT -The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, resolves disputes and make decisions.

Every morning from 7am to 5pm beep beep beep pause beep beep beep.🤬

5am Monday to Friday.
For over 2 years I had the guy across the road with an old Mitsubishi Pajero Diesel. It took 15~20 minutes to start.
Grrrr Grrrr Grrrr grrrrrrrrr Grrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrr, grrrrrr, grrrrrrrrrrrr, grrrrrrrrr, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
EVERY FU**ING DAY!
Then he decided to buy a dirt bike. An old 4 stroke single cylinder Yamaha with a burnt out muffler.
That piece of **** took 15 minutes to kick start! Then when he got it going he would just sit there for another 5 minutes revving the engine. When he left you could hear him for about 3 minutes till he got a few miles away.

I asked if I could pay for it to be fixed and he said no!
He was a pompous narcissistic arsehole so I didnt expect much.

After the pompous narc moved out an Electrician moved in.
Every fu**ing morning at 6am he was loading aluminium ladders and tools in/out of his van.

I just about lost it, but at least he was decent about it when I spoke to him.
He wouldn't/couldn't leave the van loaded because of possible theft. (He had had tools and ladders stolen previously.)
He moved the van to his back yard every morning to load it instead of in the street.
It was a bit better.

Just shows how damned inconsiderate and cavalier people are when it comes to others - especially arsehole narcissists!

. . . as a roofing crew on your house at 7 AM in the morning.

Thank heavens this is a once, perhaps twice (depending on your age), in a lifetime thing!
I'm generally up between 3 and 4 am, then out of the house between 5:30 and 6 am heading to my shop. I would have no issue them starting at 7 am but I'll bet my neighbors would. :p

True. Were it me I doubt I'd survive the first hour. Between height, angles, and age . . .

When I was in college, one of my summer jobs was on a small crew that built houses. We did 3 one summer and 2 the next. I look back through the lens of my arthritic body at all of the climbing around on ladders and roofs and heavy-thing-carrying I did then and I just cannot believe it. I wouldn't survive a week doing that type of labor today; maybe not a day!

Same here, back in the day, I could lift and carry anything.

Now I struggle with a 5lb pack of spuds.

I'm scared of heights, get me on top of a block of flats, and im fine.

Put me on top of a chair and I'm bricking it.

So why a couple of months ago, did I decide to go up some ladders, and fall off the damned things. Luckily only 3 rungs high. But I still ended up in hospital with a suspected broken back!.

Now I'm supervised every damned where, and not allowed up any step ladders period!.
