Tools for a slow computer

There are some processors I won't even bother and recommend replacement. AMD E1 for example, There is no amount of ram or SSD combo that will that one.
Yep, doesn't even break 1000 on the cpubenchmark.net listings. That's dog-bleep slow.

I remember when the E1 CPU came out. Thing is, it was never intended to be in consumer products. It was actually a form of embedded product as at Staples we had thin clients that used them, and they ran custom software images for a very low workload.

But Acer et all wanted to bring back the "netbook" and wanted to make a quick buck.

At Future shop in the tech department we would see those laptop come in for setup, as that was a service we offered. Typically those notebooks were returned, plus the setup took a good three times as long to do.

But folks only see dollar signs.

There are tools built in to windows 10 to diagnose issues reliability monitor i always check that first.
Then i move on to troubleshooters in windows 10 you would be amazed at some of the things it can fix.

Maintenance tools : Wisedisk 365, it's cleaner (Wisedisk Cleaner is way above CCleaner in term of efficiency and as safe on top of being portable).

Monitoring tools:
- Process Explorer and Autorun from System Internal.
- Process Hacker.

My most usual pit stops are: Crystal Disk Info, BlueScreenView, AppCrashView, chkdsk, Reliability Monitor, Event Viewer, Task Manager. I always also check the machine hardware specs, CPU temp, memory in use, and the free space on the system partition.
