I have been reading a lot of CRM threads on here and no one seems to have mentioned TS Man except me. I have it, its pretty good, does all I want and more and has the option for a POS and inventory module. Will post a few of their blurbs here and a link. My only gripe so far has been the support, they are pretty rude to customers and basically just say RTFM, which is terribly written to the point of being incomplete in my eyes. Its definitely worth a play and it has a 30 day trial. There are other little niggles, but on the whole its exactly what it says it is, a repair and sales tracker for computer repair companies.

We used to use it, back when it was v2, and found it confusing the way it's laid out. This made it hard to use.
We also seemed to get lots of issues with corruption and had to send our data file to support a number of times so while that was away we couldn't use the system.
It has to be installed on each machine which is a bit backward now that others are web based.
And then as you said they haven't been very friendly to their customers. My account got band from their online support forum without explanation.

It took me a while to get the way they want things to flow, but now I've got the hang of it its fine. I asked them about web functionality before purchase and they assured me they are working on it.

As for the support, yeah, not very friendly.

Cool, i did search, but as one of the posters in the search results said, it must be too common a term to be searched properly. Having a read through the threads now. Do you use it codegreen?

That point right there may be a primary reason you haven't seen it listed here.

Customer support is very important.

I certainly could never recommend a product that had painful support like that.

Agreed about the rudeness. I bought it 2 years ago but their attitude was all wrong to people asking when version 3 was out if I remember. Stopped using it after that. I use PCRT and love it, Luke is fantastic with the support, fast and understanding when you have issues.

I think what sold me on TS Man as opposed to others was that it is a one off fee instead of a subscription. At the early stage I'm at, that seemed to be the best option.

Hopefully the guys google themselves, will see these threads and take note that people have stopped using their product because they're dicks, basically.

I quit using it because I wasn't able to afford a separate license for every machine..... we would need at least 5 licenses and that was just too much.

That was the first thing we ever had, and we replaced it quick. Terrible service, empty promises on updates, and horrific product release cycle.

What did you switch to? To me it would seem to work out cheaper to pay $89 once for another tech as opposed to paying for a subscription every year, but every business is different.

PCRT does not require a subscription nor multiple licences.. You can pay for support and updates each year but that's not mandatory.

We switched to ShopManager and love it. We did get it on a good deal that was advertised here on technibble so that helped. They have a few different pricing options so you can pay a lower monthly subscription fee or buy it outright. We pay the 6 monthly support and upgrade fee but you don't have to do that.

So it is just $200 one off? But really sounds worth paying the extra $100 a year with the amount of updates i see. I will have to give TS Man a bit more of a go, for one because theres bound to be no chance of a refund, but I will definitely keep an eye on PCRT, see if some kind of well timed offer in the future or something tempts me to switch.

I actually purchased TSMan but quickly found the rude customer service you mentioned to be too much to handle. It could have been a good alternative but but I will not go to it again because of the service.

It's only $125 for ACRBO members! or was when I bought it.

I looke dat both TS Man and PCRT before v3 came out. The peopel who make TS Man were super duper rude. They even took down the forums after folks startign gettign upset.
They made broken promise after broken promise about when v3 was coming out.

I finally bought PCRT. it was only like $125 as a ACRBO member. Luke is awesome, nice and supports his product. I can access it from anywhere. We often use it on 4-5 computers at once.

Agreed, I used the 2009 version and they made so many broken promises about the upgrade it was like I'm outta here! I bought PCRT and never looked back!
