I have had to a N&P on a Lenovo all in one after a client fell victim to the Indian Microsoft "your computer has lots of problems" scams who installed a nasty rootkit on computer.

I have installed all the drivers, but there seems to be no software for the Aver Media TV tuner, I have visited the website and it is very poor and mainly in Chinineselish so wasn't any help. The tuner is a H334.

Can anybody either suggest a legal link for the software or suggest an alternative?

Yeah I use Snappy drivers all the time, saves so much time, the issue is not the drivers but the software. Unless I am missing something obvious there is no software which will work with the TV card?

I googled Lenovo B40-30 drivers and Avermedia H334 DVBT TV Tuner drivers and came up with many hits. What exactly is the problem?

People still use tuner cards? We take out loads of useless analogue ones from desktop pcs as everything is digital now. I remember when TV cards were a thing.

LOL!!! I remember when my Dad came to visit me back in '96 or so. He had an IBM PC from when he separated from Caterpillar in '89. We went to a local computer big box to look at computers. He saw a Packard Bell with a TV Tuner card and insisted that was what he wanted. Back then a 15" monitor, which is what he also purchased, was top shelf for a computer system. No matter what I said, including that the TV he had in his home office was 19", would change his mind. I think he used it 2-3 times.

... but there seems to be no software for the Aver Media TV tuner
The OEM install almost certainly included a (possibly stripped-down) version of the Aver software, which is unlikely to be available outside of Lenovo.

It should be on the recovery media/partition (that you saved before the N&P ...).

You don't mention the card model, but is there anything here?

is it not working with Windows Media Center or if a version of windows that doesnt come with it then take the opertunity to introduce client to the world of xbmc/plex/mediaportal/etc.

The drivers are working perfectly, the issue is just with the software, sadly it is Windows 8.1 so Media centre is a paid for extra :( To be honest I doubt the client uses the software, in fact I am pretty certain there was no coax cable connected to it, but I just like to make sure the PC has the same functionality it did when I put it on the bench.
