ok, nice. Any news on download link? =)

There is about an hour left on the upload. I ran in to a problem with moving the VM to a new host computer....the network went all screwy, because of this silly problem.

EDIT:
I UPLOADED THE WRONG VERSION OF THE .VHD :( I deleted the good one, thinking the one I compressed and uploaded WAS the good one. So....starting over....lmao only me......

The .VHD is uploading now. Seems to work flawlessly! I created a new guide based on the VM version of this project. The official name of the project, and script is PXEdust!

Once this finished uploading there will be a link do download. The .vhd is almost 1GB and my upload speed is about 40kbps. So it might be a while.

I am looking forward to setting this up for myself - thanks for all the effort you've put into this project.
Love the name too.

Now to find a machine I can run it on that is not too power hungry.

I am glad you are interested, and there is much more to come. Everything from WinPE 1.0 - 3.0, Live Linux Distros, an image for a Diskless Linux Client, guide on how to use the WinPE to install Windows over the network as you would with WDS and possibly more!

Update for today!
1. VM image has been uploaded and it ready, link on first post.
2. PXE Server Guide for VM Image, Uploaded Link on first page. <--- Still a work in progress

Dropbox link to vhd is 404

FIXED! :D
Also I updated the VM Guide to reflect version .3 of the script that I just now uploaded. I haven't tested it yet though, so the installer may be fudged a little.

Filler Filler

Downloaded 3 times on this machine as well as two others says invalid compression file. =(

i compressed it with the built in windows compression utility in Windows 7. My source file unzips fine. Maybe it got corrupted during the looong upload.

Have you tried 7zip or uncompressing with Windows zip util? If that isn't the case I will start the upload again

Tried built in W8 decompression as well as winrar and 7zip =(

That doesn't sound good for me hehe. Ok last question before I start uploading it again. Right Click -> Properties -> Size On Disk 0.98 GB (1,054,543,872 bytes)

Is that what your is?

i deleted the attempts, re-downloading now but I know it wasn't even close to 1gb in size it seems to be taking longer to download now. Let see what happens this time.

I download it just fine. It says 0.98 GB
It unzip in windows 7 just fine. But I have both window built-in and 7-zip installed. It might be a windows 8 thing.

Good Good! Don't try and install the diagnostics with the script yet.....I made some typos and forgot a couple fi statements. :P

Step 3:

yields cannot remove file not found....=)

But it did ask me to switch the network interface before it would start if that means anything!

Perfect! That is what it should say, and do. :D I added that just in case my VM had that problem still in it. Glad I can remove it
