Updating MSE with WinUpdates turned off

Another big f**kup by MS.. was merging the MSE virus update definitions with Windows Update. If you have Windows Update disabled, then you won't be gettin' virus definition updates, and therefore, will be vulnerable, and might as well not have an A/V product installed.

Theres a work-around that has been goin' thru the tech blogs today, I'm sure some will have seen it already, others may not have ..

Leave it to MS to do something stupid like this. The very first thing the modern viruses do is kill Windows update and if MSE-V.U. is in there then its dead.

Like I said before, MSE will be a joke pretty soon. People will start thinking its all they need to protect themselves and in reality they will probably be better off running nothing.

Why else do you think I'm trialling it on the mrs laptop and not mine ?
