VB-Audio Cable Alternatives?

Looking for an alternative to VB-Audio Cable. I find this program to be frustrating, unreliable and buggy. I've had to go back to almost all my installs and hook them up again (virtually) and of those half won't work anymore for reasons I can't figure even after a re-install. Looking for a replacement program/app.

For those unfamiliar with VB Audio Cable - I'm looking to control the Windows audio stream simultaneously to the speaker output and several USB ports while being able to control the volume level of each output separately.

Suggestions?

I share your pain. VBAC is the one to use. I tried the alternatives a year or so back after finding a need for VBAC (Again!) and none of them worked. VB-Audio Cable - no fuss, no muss.. just works. Hate I keep having to buy it over and over lol.

Appreciate the input. Maybe I'll set up a few test machines in the shop and try to figure out why things are going wrong in the field. It's a simple piece of software and should be reliable. I don't know if it's getting borked by Windows Updates or what?

What do their support people say? If its a paid product you should get some level of support, yeah?

Free software with donations for the extra plugin drivers so no implied support. Their forum I think has 12 posts total - heh. Yet, as @phaZed stated there is nothing else that even comes close to replacing it. I'll set up a few test machines on the bench and see if I can answer my own questions. Didn't have USB speakers in stock so waiting on a pair (here today?).

To put an ending to this thread.....

I uninstalled all VB Audio Cable stuff and installed VoiceMeeter by the same author. Set it as default playback device. Opened the interface and assigned A1 output to on-board sound and A2 output to USB sound. Works perfect. Two volume sliders in the system tray. Checked the boxes to save settings and run in tray on startup and all is good........
