Hi
i had a job the other day, where whenver you plugged ANY device in, the found new hardware wizard poped up, then in a flash when to the final screen of the wizard, and then looped continuously... it was VERY quick,
I fould a workaround, by bypassing it, and going todevice manager and manually installing, then once the drivers where installed, the next time you plugged the device in it was fine, but the client wasnt happy with this (as for every NEW device on the system they would have to run the manual install) so they opted for the ASR and data restore, which they were happy with
I took an image before the ASR, and am thinking of restoring to a VM and then seeing if I can cure it, but I just wondered if anyone else has come accross this , and therfore if there is a fix
If you dont get what I mean, I will try and make a small AVI off the VM
