Hello all. I am sure you all are well aware of so called security apps causing connectivity problems but I thought I'd share this anyways. Webroot (expired mind you) was blocking wireless internet connectivity on a customers laptop. While troubleshooting I noticed that the windows firewall was turned off so I turned it back on and noticed that upon reboot the firewall was off again. Immediately I suspected malware and did a quick and crucial points scan with SAS and also a scan with TDSSkiller both of which turned up clean. After uninstalling Webroot (I believe it was webroot internet security) I am able to "surf the web"
. Just thought I'd share. From now on this will be one of the first things I look for when a customer has connectivity issues. Thanks
