Where to get dart?

I had a look for you; and couldn't find anything either. It was very unfriendly; and I kept on goin' over the same loop over n over lol.

It doesn't seem to want to download lol .. Even lookin over other forums; giving links for the x86 and x64 versions link back to the same MS DaRT site that tells you about it; but still cannot find a download link.

Thats looks cool and a nice bit of software, but where do we get it from, i want it lol

I found a copy just now, if you google dart 6, and as you go down the list, it is on rapidshare, 4 or 5 down.

Looks like Dart is part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP). This is a subscription service for Software Assurance (SA) customers. I was looking into App-V a while back for the company, which is part of MDOP also, but didn't want to get into SA. I don't think there is a direct download for what you're wanting.

/me gives @AtYourService a high five

@SRC12
I found a few file-hosting sites that were hosting it like RapidShare MegaUpload etc ... But wanted to download it from a more trust-worthy source lol

I only download from file-hosting sites if I know the source (who uploaded the file) . Downloading from file-hosting sites can be worse then downloading from LimeWire or Torrents

As stated above it is now Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) and Technet account holders can snag it... or use other methods I won't speak of

file name is:

en_desktop_optimization_pack_2009_x86_x64_dvd_x15-44443.iso

size is 771,376KB or 753MB

in case that is in any way useful to anyone.

Yup, thats how I got it.

Ok, so is that facebook page a legit and legal copy, or should I delete it? I'm a bit scared of using pirated/illegal software (I won't even dare download Hirens, although it's probably the best thing a tech can have in his toolbelt.)

it isn't a legal download. a guy at a nationwide service company that was banned from thes forums is hosting it on their company website.

if you view that directory in your browser, there are several things available.

Is anybody willing to review this and let other techs know what they think to it, i have downloaded it but not tried it yet, it would be nice to hear from people that have.

SA? should this not be on technet? since techs would get the most use out of something like this if there was a link on ms to buy it i would buy it buy there is not they don't sell it either.

I tried signing up for different things there but kept going in circles and gave up a number of times.

Whoever designs that site they need to redo it everyone i talk to can't navigate that site.

Dart is a great program. I use it daily. One of the thing I like is the stand alone scanner. Allows me to scan and remove viruses/spyware, then depending on the type I can use the explorer with in Dart to manually remove infecting .dll's.
Also it has a Crash file analyzer to review .dmp files.

I assume you refer to what was once ERD Commander? If not, or if so, care to elaborate a bit?
