I use Backtrack most of the time - Other than that Ubuntu.

I'm going to expand OP's question if I may...

For those using distros what do you use to add packages/tools to your distro?

I've looked at SUSE studio and trying Reconstructor but new area for me this so wondered what others are doing.

A Distros all well and good provided its easily kept updated.

I tend to use System Rescue Cd, not only does it have a nice small Linux distro with lots of diagnostic and recovery tools but italso contains bootable floppies of things like mhdd

What I've done is made a proper easily updated virtual machine in VirtualBox (initially I was using Ubuntu MRT but have now swapped to LinuxMint) which I update and configure with the programs I want etc. and then use Remastersys to make an ISO from the vm.

Works fairly well and I also have another vm which I have configured with Skype etc. to install for customers who need Linux (constantly getting viruses or who have a bootleg of Windows etc.).

@KompuKare

What have you put for the Remastersys repository as your sources?

I like look of the program but I cannot get it to accept any repos sources for Ubuntu 11.04.

All I get is a download error files not found?

Looked around Remastersysa forum but sources seem old circa 2009/10 which is probably where my issue lies

I'm surprised you guys aren't using more than that on some flash drives.
My list is pretty big:

OfflineNTPassword&RegistryEditor
Linux Mint 11
Redo Backup and Recovery
Clonezilla
Parted Magic 4.8
Ultimate Boot CD 5.03
DBAN 1.0.7 (Drive Nuker)
Puppy 4.3.1
Trinity Rescue Kit
PING - Partimage Is Not Ghost
DellBiosBoot
Kon-Boot
All on one 8GB flash disk.;)
And various other tools like forensic tools, D7, UVK, and more.
