Many cellular carries had outages at the same time yesterday from about 9pm (EST) to about midnight (EST). I suppose this means Verizon, T-Mobile & AT&T, since all of the other carriers piggy back on their services. Still, unusual that they were all affected. All the graphs on downdetector look the same - haha. What infrastructure to they have in common?

How did you hear about that? I didn’t notice anything.

Definitely did not affect T-Mobile in my area. My smartphone is my mobile hotspot as well, and I was setting up a new smartphone last night throughout that period.

"Downdetector also reported thousands of reports of services of other U.S. wireless carriers Verizon Inc (VZ.N) and AT&T Inc (T.N) being down. The website showed more than 2,000 unresolved incident reports for Verizon and more than 1,200 for AT&T at the peaks."

It's likely those were roaming customers.. 2K and 1.2K,respectfully, isn't very much for "the country" at large..
