Win10 - setup with 4TB data drive

do you remember the installation steps? Was it click, click, click with defaults?

Yes, but we were careful to select the correct drive (the SSD) during the install. Nothing out of the ordinary other than the data drive NOT prompting to initialize when we get into windows after the install. The tip-off was it showed in explorer as a 2TB drive instead of 4TG. Disk mgmt listed it as MBR instead of GPT, hence the 2TB limit. The drive was new out of the box. post-mortem examination showed only a couple of hours on the drive.
