It's been a common mistake that you buy a Windows disc. You have always been buying the right to use a copy of Windows not the disc. Your not even buying a copy your just renting it actually.

Just download the Ultimate 64-Bit and Ultimate 32-Bit editions and follow This Guide and have 2 disks instead of 6...also it saves you bandwidth and time.

All down to the fat cats in brussels seeing a quick billion bucks for their beaurocat pockets under anti-competition laws.

Just a pity it will all be wasted on lining the pockets various jobs for the boys quangos and none of it will be used for anything that will benefit any of the memember countries population.

Damn, the ultimate version is downloading at a horrible 3k.... only 339 hours to go for the 32bit verison.

Once i have the Ultimate 32&64 bits it will be nice to use the ei.cfg trick and have all versions on only 2 discs

Does anyone have some valid links for the Windows Ultimate ISO, as the amazon links are not working for me.

I wish Microsoft would just give these away, because with a valid key they are useless, and we have all experienced where users have not made the backup disks.

Can anyone point to some XP ISO's? I'm a newbie and I'm trying to get my toolkit/CD wallet stocked up. I can find it if I went the torrent route but I want a trusted source.

Not worth it to go around hunting for ISOs and then having to verify and re-test.

These ones would be trusted though as these are the ones used for the download only purchases. i know digital river are handling the download versions for MS in the EU.

I think someone has discovered a back door however to find these as i would have thought the download would have been over https

They are the links to the unmodified original windows xp with xp3 integrated. I do not think all the links are still valid, but it should help you out.
