It is driving me nuts. Somehow i lost my iso file that i got a few years ago now im looking to update the windows 8 to 8.1 without having to go through all the downloads because of network issues in the area. anyways I know there was a ISO file that was strictly a offline update from windows 8. Does anyone know where I can directed to go. Thanks guys.

For me, its because people finally got used to it and don't want to try 10. A lot of my clients have friends who say "10 sucks". No matter what you say to them, their friend the plumber knows more than the IT guys so they opt to listen to them.

If I could charge a non-refundable $302 dollars just to turn up, then $195 per/half hour plus mark up my parts by 1200% I would be on easy street!
Example: Plumber stops off at Bunnings and grabs a Kitchen sink mixer for $48 and sells it to the client for $575!
Yeah, I got stung!

They had Windows 10 upgraded during that upgrade year. so I had to roll it back to 8 to check to make sure it was not because of Windows 10 doing something with the driver or the actual unit.
honestly though...Windows 8 I liked..or 8.1....I don't mind Windows 10 either but I do find that windows 8 was actually more like Windows 7 than Windows 10 even if they put the start bar back.

People say that because they prefer to stay on Windows 7, and that's a reasonable choice for the moment. It's not a reasonable choice to update Windows 8 to 8.1, when it's easier and better in the long run to go straight to 10.
So if they had Windows 10 already, presumably reset to factory image, why are you mucking about with the 8-8.1 upgrade? Just do the in-place upgrade to 10, or better still a clean install.

I just spent 2 hours downloading 8.1 and attempted to make a bootable USB, but Rufus said some files are missing from the download.

Plus You must have a slow connection to take 2 hours. Could have been corrupted taking that long. I can get it in less then10 minutes.
