Wrong part MacBook Pro

MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" Mid-2010


Did they send me wrong part I ordered this

Cable was about 1/2 inch too short I had to stretch it over but could not put the 2 attaching screws back in I taped it down with scotch tape
Now it works no problem I purposely did not order from China as I knew it would take forever took 6 weeks to come from US so since it works I will keep it.

Looks like I ordered a 2011 and mine is a 2010 surprised Apple would make this slight change.

When ordering parts, you should ALWAYS order by part number, NOT by laptop model number. But besides that, it says right the description that it only fits the 2011 model.

This. Especially with Apple. They usually make it easy though, they lable the part number on many things. It's usually in the xxx-xxxx format. The hdd cables list the number on the underside of the flex, 821-1234 or something. Palmrest usually have it engraved or printed with 069-1234, etc
