Any free remote support software which we can use?

I use it every day, and love it. Can't beat the value. Just be sure to customize it with your own password before making it available on your site/server; otherwise, hackers could connect with a random IP scanner. It can sometimes be frustrated by their anti-virus program so you should be prepared to guide the user into adding it to its exceptions list, should that happen.

Did not see anyone mention Aeroadmin, which is free (per their own website) for both business and personal use. Can be installed as a service, use of password, etc..)
www.aeroadmin.com

Their website does not have the usual 'About Us' page, so it is hard to know who they are, or even what country they are located in. A flag on the website changes the language to what looks like Russian. I would want to know something about the company that develops the software before I used it.

If the software is "Free of charge for business and home!" then why is there a Partnership Tab - how does that work ?

AeroAdmin seems very similar to Ammyy Admin - in name, UI, config settings and country of origin - so I'd guess it's a fork of that. If so, expect a charge to show up in a subsequent version.

Ammy Admin works for me. However I don't do very much remote stuff. When one of the helpless people call and ask simple things that aren't worth my time driving. So the price is right. :)

Depending on how many computers they have, logmein free may work for you.

I thought lmi was dropping or already had dropped the free product. They went to a limit of 10 for a while, and I thought they had dropped their free product by now.

EDIT:
Just checked it out and they have dropped their free offering, last year. Am I missing something? How are you guys using log me in for free??

Have another look at the dates on those posts - this thread goes back a while. :)

BeAnywhere Support Express has a free version: 1 tech, forever free, 5 sessions per day.

Their website is very modern, flashy, but truly awful.
http://www.beanywhere.com/supportexpress/home.php
To actually read the information on their product is very difficult. Go to the "Menu" -> "About US" section and scroll down - weird information boxes popup and move around on the screen! I'm sure someone thinks the website is really cool, but if it was my company I would sack the website developer.

Given it's controlling ownership/server locations in Russia, I doubt I would be recommending/using this particular service to/with any banking customers, or to the NSA, etc....

You are right, their website layout/ease of use is absolutely appalling. The product is nowhere near as easy to use as some of the other products, but, it did appear to work in my simple test environment of a Win7 tech install controlling a WinXP virtual machine scenario, so I consider it worthy of consideration as the only tricky parts appear to be on the technician's side vice for the customer. Thanks for the heads up!

After tinkering with AnyDesk just a few times, I've decided it is/should be virtually impossible to make a product that is easier for the customer to use than with this application; that it is a relatively small (1.2 MB) file/application, can be password protected, and installed as a service for unattended access are all obvious pluses as well....

Another 'semi'-freebie is 'impcremote'. (I call it a semi-freebie as the producers' website says use of product is free for commercial or business, but asks that you buy license if 'if it meets your approval or you would like to use it on many computers') They have instant versions (simply run without a traditional/persistent install), and, a Pro version, where technician installs a manager version, with a console listing of assorted computers linked to his/her password protected account. Manager version requires quickie registration with valid email, and setup/entry of password into manager console)

Details of assorted versions available at :

http://remote-control-desktop.com/

I tested both instant and Pro versions briefly, seems to work ok, unsure of whether or not a certain amount of client computers registered/linked to a given console in Pro version will trigger license demands, etc., but, website does not mention a trial period or limits, so, might find yourself in an ethical dilemma if you like it and are accessing 100 clients with it. :) The Pro version does allow unattended connects as long as client has not disabled/stopped the service (After a bit more research, the number of clients for free version might be limited to 5 computers, if I am reading their chart correctly) Cost is $29/year per active connection, so, if wish to control 2 screens at once, need two licenses, etc...)

Edit: Might have been just a glitch, but , it might matter what order the client/tech-mngr comes up in; twice in my testing, I had stop/restart the service in the client for connection to be successful, which would certainly limit the 'unattended access' usefulness, but, I will experiment further when time permits, and, to see if this issue is persistent, recurring, or repeatable in testing. (I am testing with Win7 controlling Win XP in a VirtualBox thru Oracle VM, so, is possible few would even see this potential issue

NOTE: for users of free 360 Total Security, and , perhaps a few other AV products as well, this product will trigger a few AV/trojan alarms when downloading/installing, but, I saw nothing bundled get installed, and no mysterious processes running after testing....
