I have a computer here in front of me. Lady brought me the computer and its a desktop..has an nvidia Geforce 7300GT. Its running windows vista 32 bit.

The issue is that when you turn it on, the initial screen has blue vertical lines that are fuzzy going down the screen..Then on the next screen everything looks great. Then on the next screen where it shows the startup options for windows vista, safe mode etc...the screen looks great. Whenever you boot it up into safe mode or normal mode, the video is very basic in colors and the vertical lines still appear. I backed up the driver as windows had installed one in a windows update and it was working fine. I even ran some antivirus scans, etc to see if there was anything. just some adware and one trojan...

When I boot it up in safe mode, the graphics are fine while loading the drivers, then it goes back to the lines on the screen even for safe mode.

So it worked fine here for a couple days, she came and picked it up, it worked for a couple days for her, and now its doing the same thing. It is BSOD with the driver error of nvlddmkm.sys, which I know is a driver. So I have now installed different, and the most current drivers and I am getting the same issue. However when I do a Print Screen, I am not getting the vertical lines..

Is the video card shot or am I not doing something right with the drivers? I got the latest ones from nvidia website
