Covid Vaccination(s) and those getting what's most likely the BA.5 variant

Understandable

We got our last shots early Dec 2021 and my wife (51) got the BA.5 late June, at a 5 day family event we all attended, and had a couple days with light fever and one day after being tired..
Noone else (3) in the household (I'm 57) had any noticeable symptoms.

People always forget that dying is not the only bad outcome of covid. Long covid is going to devastate this country's labor market and many others for years to come--already life insurance demand has soared and "long-covid" is starting to show up on policies. On the balance, the unvaccinated still remain at much higher risk of complications and long-covid. Everyone at my office has finally gotten it and the one who refused all vaccinations almost died. He refuses to even talk about it now. The rest of us were absolutely fine.

I don't regret my vaccinations for one minute. I got over a month's remission from my chronic illness from it, which was a really nice bonus!

There's an experimental drug coming that does some really cool stuff.
