[WARNING] Don't use the Microsoft "Print to PDF" printer

Let's say it's 2.9GB of bad development and 100MB of functionalities (and I'm being generous here ;)).
(I've just checked and the * whole * Office XP pro CD is around 300 MB...)

You can't be serious. There's like a billion new features. I mean, heck, just the ability for Outlook to automatically detect email settings is worth the extra 3GB.

Word bloated up not for new features for most of us, but new features for the REST of us.

It's got a horde of stuff in there for collaborative editing, and this entire mess is inclusive of version control for different translations that extend into special variants for blind people.

Excel got a HORDE of enhanced functionality that extended its already impressive math capabilities, but also all of the above.

And that's just those two apps... the gap between Outlook XP and Outlook 2019 is so profound I don't even know where to get started.

And the entire suite configures itself, with no tech involvement on every machine based on M365 profile information online that's largely self generating. I used to have to fix Outlook DAILY. Now I'm lucky to see an Outlook issue of any kind a QUARTER.

You're missing my point. A billion new features correctly developed just * technically * don't need 3GB. Take it with a grain of salt...

Maybe not, but UI is important too. I don't want to be using the Office XP UI in 2021. Ease of use is important, as is eye candy. Security is also greatly improved. It's not just the same exact software with a fancy UI on top of it.
