How do I make an expanding document in word/adobe based on amount of typed data?

I have a client who has a letterhead template that he wants to paste data into. Basically there is a 1 inch margin on the left side of the page with his logo and other information (the whole left side).

The data he will need to paste into this document will sometimes make the document 1 or 2 pages and sometimes 5 pages. So he wants this letterhead with his logos on every page and he wants the data in the middle of the page avoiding the logo in the margin on the left hand side.

What cannot happen is to paste 1 page worth of data into a 5 page document leaving the other 4 pages blank. So I cannot give him a blank 5 page because the other pages will appear blank depending on how much data is pasted.

Any ideas?

Never mind I was able to figure it out. I just took the image for his letterhead and kept re-sizing it in paint until I was able to get it fitted perfectly in a word document as a background then changed the margins so text didn't interfere with the images.

Probably recommend using GIMP next time rather than paint or various other online image resizing, good to see you got it sorted.

Yeah definitely a better option I was just foooling around in paint to see if it would even come close to working and I managed to resize it to near perfect on the second try at 35%. The final resize ended up being 33% and it worked perfect.

Another solution, for future reference, is to throw the logo and whatever you want on every page into the header, then save it. Then, each time they open it, they can add whatever amount of text and Word will include the header info on every new page that's created.

Edit: I just realized it's a "left-hand margin". You *should* be able to pull this off, too: http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/AnchorToHeader.htm
