How do you deal with customers looking over your shoulder?

Not much of a mouser huh? I mean jeez.... is a mouse just hanging there on the wall (right side of pic) and the cat is just ignoring it.

I have one lady, whenever I do service call to her home is the look over the shoulder type. Which generally doesn't bother me at all... however... she has no sense of personal space. I can literally turn my head and end up headbutting her chin she is so close.

LOL!!! Great thread. I was at a new customer yesterday getting them upgraded so they can meet HIPAA requirements, psychiatric office.

Part of this involved upgrading RAM on an iMac and a MacBook Pro so the machines can take 10.10 and run everything properly. The owner, whose eye sight was less than optimal, was leaning over my shoulder inches away so he could see where the RAM went using the flashlight function on his iPhone to see better. Don't think he was a cat lover as there was not that characteristic hair layer you see on pet owners.

Later I was in the network closet setting up the new router. It's a locked affair and he came back after letting me in to make sure I was not nervous that he had locked me in to the closet. LOL!!! Got to love some peoples humor.

I would need a bigger workbench with a customer that size looking over repairs. Perks of the business, it's not everyday you get to pet a bear :)

Does anyone else have trouble concentrating when the customer is constantly watching you? Here I was just trying to get some capacitors swapped out on this motherboard and this client just wouldn't leave me alone. He had to watch my every move and ask me a ton of nonsense questions. Very distracting to say the least.
