Yes, and those were "the latest and greatest in student desks" when I was in elementary school. Most of us had the one-piece metal base ones with the lidded desk on a post at the front and a seat at a post at the rear, with no ability to adjust distance.

Those were horrible. Only skinny kids could fit in them. I fit just fine but I didn't like that I couldn't scoot back when I needed to. :P

Bullhead City was bad like this a couple months ago.

I wouldn't have thought the climate in Bullhead City would produce the kind of "frost heaving" and "road treating/plowing" decimation that's in that photo.

Having grown up in Western Pennsylvania, in the snow belt between Pittsburgh and Bedford, PA, in the pre-global warming era when the tax base was slowly being decimated this was the sort of road surface I dealt with on a routine basis. It's still pretty bad in Cambria County, PA, when I go back to visit.

Bullhead has grown exponentially and the roads have taken quite a beating. When I moved here 15 years ago, the roads were great and there was a lot less traffic.

Lots of good roads and highways for riding my motorcycle. I would ride forever on the awesome back roads. These days, not so much and I had to quit riding, due to physical health issues. I sure miss it, tho, and I've kept the bike on the off-chance I can be fixed. 😁
