Anyone remember these?
Yes, and those were "the latest and greatest in student desks" when I was in elementary school. Most of us had the one-piece metal base ones with the lidded desk on a post at the front and a seat at a post at the rear, with no ability to adjust distance.
Bullhead City was bad like this a couple months ago.
Bullhead has grown exponentially and the roads have taken quite a beating. When I moved here 15 years ago, the roads were great and there was a lot less traffic.I wouldn't have thought the climate in Bullhead City would produce the kind of "frost heaving" and "road treating/plowing" decimation that's in that photo.
Having grown up in Western Pennsylvania, in the snow belt between Pittsburgh and Bedford, PA, in the pre-global warming era when the tax base was slowly being decimated this was the sort of road surface I dealt with on a routine basis. It's still pretty bad in Cambria County, PA, when I go back to visit.
Same here, I saw a sticker on a car the other day "I'm not drunk, just avoiding potholes".View attachment 16004
Bullhead City was bad like this a couple months ago. They are fixing the roads and repaving is almost finished. What a difference!
I've heard it said that when the inventor of the USB connector leaves his mortal coil they will bury him as usual, then raise him, rotate him 180 degrees and re bury him...- One knows it is a good day when one inserts a USB correctly first time -
I always say to people. "If you don't like the way I drive...stay off the footpath!"Same here, I saw a sticker on a car the other day "I'm not drunk, just avoiding potholes".
