Anyone have experience with this software? My first impression is that it's another crappy pretend computer clean up suite like the scores of them out there on the net. Thoughts?

I have tried it out. Seems to do what it says its doing. Just another AIO suite of utilities that will let someone screw up their system and bring it to me. :D

Anyone else have anything good to say about the Iobit toolbox?
I have use the Iobit toolbox and it works pretty well for fixing a slow computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Not trying to hijack this thread.

AFAIK, it's garbage. Basically a "registry optimizer" and we all know how "useful" those are.

Thanks guys! I assumed, but didn't have any empirical evidence. Just fyi, I pulled that crap off the laptop and ran it under full load all night without a single hiccup. Coincidence? :p

I originally thought this to be a valuable tool until it started acting virus-like. It is annoying, only marginally did what it was supposed to. Ccleaner is far superior.

Search through the forums for IOBit. A large percentage of techs (including me) won't touch anything done by IOBit due to some shady business practices in the past.

crapware....one of the things I remove as soon as I see it on a computer.

Those "all in one tweaking/optimizing/tuning" utilities...snake oil, crap.
Oddly enough, with IOBit...I see some other adware bundled in there. Seems to always carry some crap with it.

Fired a up a Virtual Machine and this is one of things I installed, getting it from Download.com on a fresh install of Windows 7. This thing ran its course and definitely slowed down the system. Nothing but crap. Only installed it to see how Emsisoft would handle it.

IOBIT software is pretty much all junk EXCEPT for IObit Uninstaller Portable from portableapps.com
The portable one is free from crap and the software works better than REVO in my experience. It's listed as "FREE" on their website with no stipulations given for commercial use (or private for that matter). It does batch uninstalling and deep cleanup (Purcahse of REVO Pro needed for those features)

Its crap, we get a lot of customers with portions of the toolkit installed on their computer and we remove it along with the other bloatware and crapware.

Thanks for the tip, looking at it now!
