Laptop power lead and fan still on after shutdown

I've been working with an M-1629 Gateway laptop to upgrade the operating system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 v.1909.18363.815.

PROCESSOR / CHIPSET

• CPU AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-60 / 2 GHz
• Number of Cores = Dual-Core
• Cache = L2 - 1 MB
• 64-bit Computing =Yes
• Data Bus Speed = 800 MHz
• Chipset Type = ATI RADEON RS690T

The problem is that when you turn off the power button light, they continue to turn on. already remove the quick start, update the BIOS but the problem is not resolved. Any resolution or suggestion? Thank you in advance. PD: I hope I've done the posting correctly.

That computer is 13 years old and sold with VISTA. Replace it or put 8 back on it if it worked with that.

I hope you have the license key for 8.

Yes, the laptop was originally that operating system.

The model and specs you supplied seem to say differently. If it did not have 8 on from the factory you need a key.
