LMIR vs Teamviewer

Yep all worked very nicely, Really glad I have purchased it. I think it's one of the best items I have bought for the business over the last year.

For definite even if it's only to save another journey after you returned the repair and they have a query. I've been thinking lately about doing some remote training after I did some recently in one of the local villages. It certainly is a nice package with good features.

Hmm I tested a couple of machines and booting into safe mode on both didn't give me wireless connections. You couldn't make a wireless connection at all. I will look further into it. Are you using Dropbox for your tools or the file transfer built it?

I only tested it on my Dell laptop, I will have to try it out on the Netbook and anyone else's I can find. Can't see why it shouldn't work unless it's related to third party wireless utility which manage the connection and not the windows utility.

Currently I have been using the built in transfer, but I think dropbox makes more sense. I also don't want to have a hidden folder in the root as it will quickly become outdated.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for clearing that up.

I guess the only other question I have for you guys that have bought it...do they negociate price at all like LMIR will?

Oh, and also does anyone use the TV manager system in the premium version?
That sounds like it could be nice once you have a decent customer base built up with it.

I'm pretty sure there is no negotiation on price. LMI reps will/can give you differing pricing models probably according to monthly sales. I'm guessing the more they sell the deeper of a discount they can offer. I've talked to a TV rep and they did not wiggle on pricing.

No I read about it in another thread just now. It seems like a good concept but I have not seen the design myself. Too bad they don't offer it in the Business version.

Have you already decided on TV? Its seems if you are looking at Premium versions something like Bomgar www.bomgar.com or ScreenConnect www.screenconnect.com may be a good fit for you. They both have lifetime license and are self-hosted.

Teamviewer are a preferred vendor of Acrbo so if you are a member you get a 10% discount

I was told the ACBRO discount code was not in a valid format when I spoke to them today. The agent went away and came back offering me a 5% discount though. On top of that they let me pay in three installments. She said I could pay by either paypal or bank transfer. I told her I needed to pay by credit card and she said they don't accept credit card for split payments as the charges are too high. I told her I would have to leave it and she went away and came back 5 minutes later with permission to pay this way. I could probably have pressed for the 10% discount but I was happy enough with them splitting the payments.

TV will negotiate. I contacted them a long time ago asking if they offer a "limited" type of version or something for smaller businesses as I didn't plan on using it more than 5 times a month or so. I forgot the actual response, but the price was a couple hundred less but it had some limitations. I think how many times it can be used in a month.

Good info. I was debating the same thing for quite some time and have decided to go with TV.

LMI actually messed up the server somewhat and RDP no longer works and a few other networking glitches have occured since removing it!

I originally used Logmein. Then I changed to Teamviewer. Best move I ever made. I bought the lifetime premium deal for $1500. Best deal around. Most remote software runs $1500 or more a year.

I have never had teamviewer fail me. It has gotten through huge corporations proxies and firewalls with no problems. Speed is awesome, and I can remote reboot and auto connect again, this works flawlessly.

I Highly recommend it.

Yeah, I believe Teamviewer Premium is what I am going to roll with very soon.

Thank you,

Landon

No contest, Teamviewer by the length of the straight! I have a script on my webserver, I get the client to type in the url address in the run box that downloads the script to automatically run the QS version of Teamviewer in silent mode. As long as they have a working Internet connection whether it be in real mode or safe mode, never fails.

I'd be interested in seeing how the script works ;)

Same here too... Let's see that script of yours, please. After reading many other threads I thought their were a lot of Logmein users but I guessed wrong...LOL. I think Teamviewer is the best. I used many others and Teamviewer is the easiest and the quickest I have used so far.

I use Teamviewer Business Edition and find it good value. Their support is responsive. I like the customised client you can build. I'm still using version 5 but the upgrade costs to 6 are fairly reasonable.
Cheers
