Logging into older security cam with browser

Hello, I am trying to log into a older sercurty cam Samsung Sdr-c5300 16ch DVD set c5300 (sdh-5100) I am trying to access the interface by entering the ip address in my browser. The problem I am having is that when I enter my user name and password the interface wants to download silver light, blue box ( this app can't run on your PC check the software publisher ) Then I just downloaded silver light and log back into the interface using the cams up address and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

What are you using for an OS and browser? M$ still includes IE, version 11, on W10 for those pesky backwards compatible situations. Several customers of mine have to use it.

Yeah, try IE, and if that doesn't work... it's dead Jim... time for a new camera.

Yeah I have use 3 different laptops I used my Mac using safari and chrome and my Chromebook with chrome and Firefox and my windows laptop using IE and chrome only my Mac and windows systems would allow me to install silver light. And still no luck

From what I can tell the interface requires Silverlight. Also appears to be pretty old. Is this your own DVR?

No it's not mine.

Manual Download - Page 81 is what you want. The Web View needs an ActiveX element to be installed. So it's not just SilverLight. Suggested IE7 or higher. You may need a laptop with Windows 7 or 8, Windows 10 doesn't like ActiveX because it's not signed or anything.
