We have a Macbook Pro A1278 (13 Inch Mid 2009) in where the status of the battery is plugged in but not charging.
If left plugged in for long enough (overnight say) then the macbook does charge up.
The battery that is in is a replacement one, origninally the macbook would not power on but now it does with the replacement in.
Things we have tried: SMC and PRAM reset, let the battery completely drain out then charge it back up to 100%. I updated the SMC to the latest version.
As far as im aware the macbook has had a replacement hard drive in the past but apart from that the back has not been taken off.
Im not sure what to try next, anyone have any ideas?
