45 years old. Started on a TI-99/4a hooked up to a black and white television when I was a kid. My brothers and I loved playing Parsec on that thing!

I started on the same computer...and I LOVED PARSEC!! I found an emulator online a couple of years ago and was cracking up hearing the sounds of the game again! (The most familiar was the crash sound when I was in the tunnel of course!)

Wow... Where the hell did I miss this thread? I swear I only find these things on my mobile when I'm looking through it. When I'm on my computer I pretty much only stay in the first 2 forum groups. lol

31 for the next few months. First computerized device was an Atari video game system. First computer was a Commodore 64. Absolute favorite games: Spy vs. Spy (video) and SpyHunter (video). lol

I'm 36. I fell in love with technology after seeing 'War Games'. I even built a 'WOPR' with cardboard, duct tape, spray paint, and a bunch of Christmas lights. Mom was not happy about her lights. :p

My first computer that I could actually play with was an Altair kit my mom bought for me at a yard sale for $10 in '84. We were pretty poor, so this was the most I could hope for. A couple of years later, I got access to the school lab and started getting into all kinds of fun and trouble. Ahh, the old days!

Reading through this thread sure brings back memories...

First computer was a TI99 followed by a Apple IIe - clocked a LOT of hours on the IIe and all the various BBS's back then - even ran a BBS myself for awhile. I also remember how excited I was when I got my first 10MB Sider HD - all that disk space!!! Ah yes, the days of Beagle Bros, POKEs, PEEKs & Calls, BRUN, Catalog, Infocom (Zork), Load Runner, Castle Wolfenstein... Apple-Cat's Rule!

I still have my IIe sitting here in box somewhere - not sure it works anymore and even if it does, I'm sure the disks are unreadable anymore... but man, would be fun if they did... heh.

Very very nearly 49.
NOT looking forward to it.

I'm told I look good for my age.

The only problem is that people mistake me for a 90 year old. :)

I also dread the day I get on a bus and some pimpled teenager offers me their chair.

Look out for the headline...
"police officers are looking for a deranged bearded gentleman last seen berating a young juvenile, who offered him his seat on a local bus. The man swore violently at the boy before beating him about the head with a dismantled walking frame"

Honestly, I've been laughing at this for the past ten minutes. As a bearded 45 year old with an occasional tendency toward profanity myself, this kind of hits close to home :D Fortunately, I live in a rural area without public transportation, so this is less likely to happen.

A bearded gentleman, of no fixed abode was arrested last night following a nationwide manhunt.

He was apprehended in a quiet country lane, following complaints from locals. Apparently a young farm worker had offered to help him across the road, at which point the accused "staked" the youth to the ground and attempted to repeatedly run him over with a neighbours tractor.

The youth was described by doctors as "bemused and a little tyred" and said he would "wheeley tread more carefully in future".

Members age ?

Mines the same age as me.
(Strange Question).

My 49th year on this planet beckons in a few weeks.
I'm working on a mid-life crisis, which is taking some serious planning. ;)
