All the times I've run memtest, I don't think I have ever had it do this before.

When trying to exit hitting ESC up on the testing line it shows Halting...

Then instead of exiting and rebooting it just sits there.

Keyboard non responsive, can't toggle num lock, CTRL ALT DEL nothing.

This is on a gaming system that is locking up after running for a while. Really hate diagnosing lock ups.

Cust said it would run for about 30 min. So turned it on and about 30 min later Windows was locked up.

Turned it off and back on booted into memtest and it showed the CPU temp was almost 90c. Took out AIO cooler and put a stock heatsink on. Went back into windows and ran Furmark and Prime95 for a little over an hour. Thought things were going well until it locked up again.

Swapped out video card & ram.

Updated the BIOS no change.

With memtest locking up when trying to exit makes me think the motherboard has an issue.

Had happened it to me too! Didn't followed up to find out the cause.
But in my case the computer wasn't locking up but bsod, had to swap HDD.

This sounds like a mobo issue to me. Have you checked the caps for leakage?
Use a good magnifying glass to look for any sign of "oily" substance or bulging which could mean they/it are/is overheating and failing.
Do any of them look as if they are "pushed up" and out of line with the others?
Changed colour compared to the others?

Have you tried running it with only a single stick of known good ram? Run it for each slot and see if it still locks on all of them.
I've encountered bad ram slots before.
