Hello everyone,

I love to repair computers and I get up in the morning excited about what I will fix (and what I will learn) that day. I'm posting a series of the computer repair tools that I use every day (many of which I have learned about from Podnutz and Technibble). Hope this will help someone who is just starting out (the following link is to post 10.1). I'm trying to add one post per week.

UVK's author is a member. Do a google search on TN using UVK and his username "Eureka".


That said, I've yet to need to use it.

Wow, thank you!

UVK is freaking sweat... I have all of the virus scanner exe's on my flash drive and get sick of installing, updating and scanning with each. This tool completely automates the process, as well as doing all of the normal cleanup that goes with some viruses (unhiding files, fixing .exe associations, hosts file cleanup, etc, etc).

Also, when I'm onsite it looks a little more sophisticated that just going and downloading/installing software that any consumer could do themselves. And, when I'm in my shop I don't have to babysit multiple computers and remember which stage of the process I'm on with each.
