Solution: USB Bluetooth adapter.

---

Client bought a used Toughbook CF-33 tablet computer. It has Windows 11 21H2 even though it does not support it (has a 7th gen i5) - ugh. The BIOS/UEFI is locked. His Bluetooth is totally missing so I need to unlock the BIOS to see if I can turn on Bluetooth within it.

What to do? I know you can solder on a new BIOS chip, but that's beyond my capabilities. I am looking for an easy fix. With other brands, I can enter in a special code to unlock it.

To be honest you're just wasting your time trying to mess with the BIOS. Toughbooks are used extensively by Military and LEA around the world. It's highly doubtful you, or anyone else, be able to "hack" the BIOS. Even then it's almost certainly using TPM so it's possible even replacing the BIOS chip won't work. So if @seashore's suggestion doesn't work it is what it is.

Yes indeed.
