Hi All,

I have sold numerous Lenovo E530-3259AV8 laptops without issue. This particular one the client is advising that the numeric keypad pad doesn't work.

I have verified via email that she is using it correctly and the button to enable it works (an indication comes up on the screen,) but she says it won't type. She's bringing it in tomorrow so I can diagnose it, but I'm wondering if any of you have run into this issue at all in the past?

If it's new and under warranty.......send it back.

Check some simple things first, but I wouldn't spend much un-billable time on it.

1. See if the numeric keypad from an external keyboard works.

2. Boot from a live CD, and see if the internal and external keypads work.
