Instant House Call is simply the best remote support software. Period.

I used Ammy admin and Teamviewer and a whole load of others in the past. They just dont compare in stability with reboots and auto connects etc.

We've been using LMI via Continuum and also LMI Rescue for non managed clients. I've looked at alternatives during our RMM evaluations over the past few months and think I found something that I like more than LMI Rescue. BeAnywhere Support Express. If you have not looked at it, I highly recommend it. Cheaper than LMI Rescue.

When I worked remotely for an ISP we used LMIR which I liked quite a bit. I was just a tech so I don't know how they were paying for it as a company but all the features seemed to work well. They also just released the LMIR app for smartphones "lens" i think that allows you to remote to a users phone and it shows you what their camera sees for diagnosing physical connections. I can see it being helpful in an ISP situation where you can't connect to computer remotely but I never found a need to use it.

We use screen connect where I am working now and I haven't had any problems with it yet, not much use but the few times I did use it it has worked well.

TeamViewer as built into MaxFocus/GFiMax

However, I also use LogMeIn in a few customer PC's so that they can access different PC's within their organization. Don't know what I'm going to do when the LogMeIn Central is up for renewal. I paid £180 3 months ago for it, and the new price is going to be £349!

I wish ScreenConnect had this feature included. I'd jump on their software in a heartbeat.

Technically speaking its possible to setup a user in screenconnect that would only have access to a certain group of clients but of course the downside would be that when they establish a connection it would count as a session being used. (er well i guess things will be a little different with the new pricing system)

I liked instant house call but the unattended node limit is just too low so I switched to screen connect. Now that the price has jumped I will probably try simple help instead.

TeamViewer. Drop dead simple and the pricing is fair. I can't say I appreciate what they've done with TeamViewer 10, but progress must be made I guess.

Why? The price did not change for you.
Because they are under new ownership and I cannot imagine it staying this price for long. Maybe for 1 year yes, but for long term we can expect the old plan to disappear and their focus to switch away from us small guys.

Also, it's a pain to have to switch systems and I don't want to grow my business on a tool that could be pulled out from under me. So while I'm fairly small, I'd like to build a solid foundation.

I just asked them if they were active on any tech forums since there was discussion of ScreenConnect's pricing changes and while they're not, they do have a discount related to that change.

20% off of their per-active-session pricing. I'll likely jump on it as soon as $$ start coming back in from our latest round of invoices, cash flow has been slow this fall.

Have used TV up till recently. CW is now bundling ScreenConnect into their MSP product so I've been using it for a few months. It's fast and the Toolbox feature is great.

What is your guys take on Screenconnect vs teamviewer? In terms of stability?

Can you do a remote reboot with screenconnect without having to do a full install? ie can the client download an executable from my website and I will be able to do remote reboot?

The standard RMM tools...if you're supporting businesses you'd normally have these tools already, which include at least one or two (typically more) methods of remoting in. Instead of those residential mickey mouse ones.

Brands such as: (in Alph order not order by preference)
Continuum
GFI/Maxfocus
Kaseya
Labtech
N-Able

There are others, I'm just listing a few of the big players.

i never really did a lot of remote support until recently. I use teaamviewer through gfi with people on contract. I have been using instant housecall for everyone else. I really like it. I never had a problem until today. I have very impressed with the support Corey gave me. When i called i left a message and he called in back within minutes. Very happy with the service.

Currently I'm using N-Able together with ScreenConnect, can't wait for them to integrate Beanywhere into N-Central in Q1 with so many good things I hear about it.

You using their cloud hosted? Or you have your own N-Central server.
We've had the current NTR remote working fine with our N-Central server.
