Teamviewer REPLACEMENT - Their customer service is Terrible!!!

I have SimpleHelp self-hosted and it works great for my one-off's. I like the one-time pay and done (Unless you want to renew for updates, which I also do).

On SyncroMSP, they just switched to Splashtop which has also worked well. Of course, that gets used on our managed clients.

I use QuickAssist which is preinstalled on every Windows 10 computer. It's basic, but free for any use. Don't need it very often so the price suits me!

Can't be used unattended though. At home and work I use RDP over LAN because it's fast.

SimpleHelp here also. As @phaZed mentioned above. One time pay and done. It's been reliable and flawless. Never had an issue.

Was using LogMe in for over 8 years until they got too greedy.

been using ISL Online Cloud that costs £259 per year for unlimited and allows unattended remote.

I am curious now. Does it work well? As much as I like ScreenConnect/ConnectWise Control, I'm not against cheap alternative.
It's got its quirks... but it works well enough for me.

The two things that drive me the most nuts?

When the connection lags just right, it can start getting lazy on keystrokes. What I mean to say is, when I type in something like "keystrokes", I'll wind up with "keeeeeokes". The right button is pushed, it just doesn't make it so it repeats what it's stuck on. I have to slow down my typing in that moment, and it can be VERY frustrating when it strikes at a bad moment.

The 2nd is the way it integrates with the clipboard... there's a TON of clicking. Fortunately, there's a "type" button I use a lot that simply takes what I paste into it and types it into the remote for me. That's how I get passwords in, but it's not as quick as just ctrl+v. Coming from ScreenConnect specifically, this is a huge deal... because ScreenConnect is bloody MAGIC when it comes to the clipboard integration.

Mesh has a similar feature to ScreenConnect in that it will ask you what session to connect to if Terminal Services is involved.

But when I need to do real work? I just connect meshrouter to 3389 and RDP off a local port to whatever I'm working on. MeshRouter is GODLY.

I got my Teamviewer bill on Monday morning.
The price has stayed the same for the last 3 years which is nice.
I went ahead and paid the invoice via EFT and then discovered that they had already charged me on my CC.
I called the local office in Adelaide and the guy, Sudoh, was very helpful in crediting back the overpayment.

Everytime I've called their office they have been friendly, understanding and very patient.
I'll keep using TV because there is nothing better.

Your renewal price is half what Synnex is quoting me for my renewal for a Business Subscription o_O
I might drop Synnex and go direct if I can get that 🤔
Can I use your invoice pic in my negociations please?

So sick of Synnex.

If you do use his invoice, I would encourage you to blur out ALL info besides pricing. I believe TeamViewer has a ToS that could ban him for "divulging pricing". Don't mention where you got the info from either for his safety.

@Rigo - Some of us here use SimpleHelp. You buy it once and own it. It runs on your hardware (or some use the cloud). It's not as full-featured as some but depends on what your needs are.

Simple help user here. Moved in from screenconnect. Easy to setup, easy to use. So far their support has been very good.

Hi Barcelona,
Sounds like you're an unmatchable VIP 🙇‍♂️ according to the following I've received from TV (had an unrelated problem to sort out as well):
Hello Rigo,
Thank you for your message.
The procedure to remove the trial for a higher license type does not impact the use of your business license in any way, however if the banner is not bothering you, there is no need to follow the steps as this warning also will not interfere with your use of your license.
As regards the pricing difference, discounts such as your friend is receiving are based on upgrading from old perpetual licenses. They are available only when upgrading from a previous version, and a discount this steep would likely have been from upgrading one license to another on at least two occasions. Since the invoice you have forwarded is redacted I cannot be sure of the exact conditions, and I also would not be able to give you specific information about another subscriber's license in any case.
Your license is not purchased directly from TeamViewer, but via a reseller, if you have pricing enquiries about your own subscription you would need to ask the reseller for the particulars. TeamViewer staff do not have access to any information about the contractual arrangements between you and your reseller.
Please let me know if this resolves this for you or if you have any further queries.
