I have a customer with Driver Cure on a Vista machine. It does not show in Installed Programs or Start Services, but pops up on boot. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? It does show up in multiple places in the registry.

Thanks,
Norm

Without looking at the machine myself, I can't say. Sounds like another rogue trojan.

But it could be that old ParetoLogic Driver Cure. That garbage software should at least have a simple entry in add/remove programs to uninstall it. EDIT: nm I see you have checked there. But also look in the installation directory for an uninstall app.... It may be there though it isn't registered with the Windows installer service or add/remove programs applet.

If its not, or its a rogue trojan, and you can identify the EXEs, I would use IFEO Modifier (part of my app D7) to create IFEO's for those EXE files and reboot - then you should at least be able to find the source without the EXEs running bothering you and maybe rewriting themselves to the registry after you just removed their entries.

Revo is a great app. I most always run it when I've removed a lot of trash; it usually finds remnants I couldn't.

Same here. +1 for revo. I use it quite a bit when there is a lot of junk software or crapware on the computer. Its a really good tool and I would love to see it in D7 too.
+1 to ADD it to D7
