Uninstalled Win 10 (back to Win 7) - USB not working

I did this for a client about a month ago he just called me and said ever since the roll back his USB's have not worked.

I don't think this will be an easy fix and probably best way to fix it would be to go back to Win 10,
but he hated it.

Rollbacks suck. I see a clean install of 7 coming on. Uninstall all chipset and USB drivers from device manager and reboot first.

I have a thought. Did you not use one of your own USB's on the machine. My stick goes in every one I even breath on.

I've done a lot of rollbacks. It's not unusual for something to not work afterward. But I've found that either (or both) of Snappy Driver or Tweaking usually solves the problem.

So either it took him a month to notice that his USB ports don't work, or he noticed it straight away and took a month to call you?

Excuse my skepticism, but it seems likely that his USB ports have only just failed and you're the last person who touched his computer so it must be your fault.

Around here we call it "Since you last fiddled with my computer" Syndrome.

My Cousin has similar "affliction" called 'Since you last touched it - it's your fault.' lol
I see a 'nuke and pave' being done!

I always check everything before handing back to customer! Saves so much hassle!

I thought it was very strange me not noticing it, actually it's been more than a month more like 2 months
ever noticed how fast time flies, but in any event apparently it's my fault.
he has a lots of bookkeeping app so he will not want a format, nor me

I will do some tweaking or upgrade to 10 again it was previously activated.

Today I did a clean install of OEM using it's serial and it activated OK a week after cut off
