I don't think I understand why anyone would have a problem with another member pointing out obvious illegal activities. Members of this forum should not be recommending to other members how to do things illegally.
The only exception I would have to that is for the sole purpose of doing something legal. Sounds funny but having copies of XP that you do not own or took from a user's system so you can repair someone else's computer would fall under this.
Now if your disabling WGA on a user's system because it is acting up, even if it looks to be a legit copy, should not be done. I know someone right now who is having issues with WGA. Every 60 days or so (forgot the amount of time) he has to do a system restore to keep using Vista. I could fix it for him but he doesn't want to pay me.
Quite frankly, I find it odd that some people on here love to point out how a local company is selling illegal copies of XP on systems but then post tips on how to use LogMeIn Free for business use. I've listened to several podcasts that take 10 minutes to explain an elaborate method to get around this limitation, yet keep your client's information secure. Like they are somehow trying to protect themselves from legal issues. Or telling people to use Hiren's boot CD. etc.
If people on this forum are specifically pointing out how to do illegal activities, why would you care if someone points it out or reminds them that yes, it is in fact illegal?
