Yuck. Alienware. I once had a customer show me an Alienware quote (before Dell bought them). The only part on that quote I couldn't get was their custom case. Everything else was standard, off the shelf stuff. Their $3,000 computer had a little over $1,000 in parts in it.

Come on now everyone knows it costs $2,000 to get that sweet custom front plastic.

You know I saw a computer at a thrift store a few months back that had what looked like a cheiftec dragon case (the purple one). I should have bought it it was only like $5-$10. Kinda like that classic case.

Agreed! Capitalism at it's best. - I'm glad I acquired the case for next to nothing though. It's a real conversation piece when people see it now.

Yeah, had a guy telling me how good his Alienware computer was!
I saw the specs, lol. Baby Core i3, 4 GB ram and cheap MSI mobo with a 500gb HDD.
Cost him around $2700 for something I could have built for around $500, including my markup!

Sweet. I wish that's all I had into mine. I was at $150 when I accidentally bought the motherboard for it, which started the whole thing. The plan was for it to be my all-in-one entertainment system, but that hasn't really worked out either. It's mostly just a Plex server right now. Some day, though, I'll look into a front-end for it to play the media or the retro games. But I'm currently in the "lose interest" phase of that project.

I have that installed, but the SteelSeries Bluetooth controllers I got for it are crap in Windows. They only work with certain BlueTooth adapters. I'm dead-set on using Bluetooth because once I get something "perfect" in my head, that's the way it has to be, but there don't seem to be any good options out there for PC controllers. Windows always seems to be an afterthought. Well, there's 8bitdo, but their web site is just nasty if you want to see what products they have. The main page shows a controller which isn't even in their products list and they seem to focus on a retro look. I don't care about the look so much as it has all the buttons I need to emulate anything in RetroArch.
