[SOLVED] WLM Duplicate Emails

This may be something silly I have missed but this one has be stumped.

I'm rather I'm currently working on a problem with Windows Live Mail and duplicates emails. There are around 19,000 of them. They are not stored online only this laptop access is via POP.

I can find a fix the only way looks like to delete them all manually.

Does anyone have any ideas of a quick fix?

Is it duplicating them as they come in, or did you accidently duplicate all them during an import operation?

Hi Paul, would a program that finds and deletes duplicate files not work? From memory each email is a separate file

They where duplicated in when being received, the client kept click Send/Receive a few times.

I was looking for a program to remove them, I tried Google but could not find anything, a search on DuckDuckGo found a program I'm trying now.

As in cleanup the duplicates (remove them) or figure out why duplicates are still coming in?

Remove them, I have stopped them coming in now. Just need to clean up all the duplicate emails.

Can't remember but as @4ycr mentioned are the emails seperate .EML files?

That way you could try a duplicate remover on that folder (backup first to CYA)

This is for Outlook, but have a look around on their site as there may be a WLM compatible product:

I used it years ago to clean up Exchange Public Folders and it was spectacular!
